Ethanol jeans?

Via Corn Commentary and Domestic Fuels:
Corn can be utilized in a number of different ways, but this is the first I’ve heard of ethanol jeans.
Yep, ethanol made its way down the catwalks last year. “Fashion meets environment with these stylish jeans that are made from cotton grown with less pesticides and sold in recycled packaging,” reports Joanna from Domestic Fuels. “The jeans are branded “ethanol” to the hilt with the buttons sporting a “e,” and an ethanol patch on the back. But possibly the best feature is the bag of corn that comes with each pair.”
American Idol winner Jordin Sparks appears here in a YouTube video promoting the denim line, and a label affixed to the jeans directs interested parties to the Alliance for Climate Protection. A portion of the profits from the sale of the jeans goes to environmentally friendly projects.
Joanna found her pair at Sam’s Club, but you can purchase online here also.
Very interesting!
Thanks to Domestic Fuels for the photo.
